basement expansion
a furnace relocation for the ages.
scope of work
ROUTING OF DUCTS THROUGH JOISTS TO THE OTHER SIDE OF BEAM
RELOCATION OF MAIN GAS LINE ALONG WITH ALL BRANCHES TO OTHER SIDE OF BEAM
INSTALLATION OF NEW FURNACE
BASEMENT FINISH DUCTWORK
One of the more challenging Furnace relocation projects to date. This furnace was located on the other side of the beam and metal posts. The owner wanted to finish the basement but the furnace was in the middle of the room and really cut down on their usable living space.
Relocating the furnace to the other side of the beam required main ducts to be ran through the joists. The previous main gas line, with all other gas lines branching off was also on the other side of the beam. That was also relocated to the inside of the beam. After the relocation of the old furnace, the homeowners were so happy that they decided to replace the whole furnace and put in a new one. Take a look below at the result.
